01, What is SliceVista
Own a slice,
not the whole thing.
SliceVista is a real-estate marketplace where users buy and sell properties as fractional investments, co-owning premium commercial real estate for a fraction of the full ticket, with the paperwork and management handled for them.
02, The problem
Real estate is
locked behind a crore.
The traditional model restricted buyers to full property ownership, demanding significant capital and extensive paperwork. That left accessibility and affordability out of reach for most would-be investors. SliceVista's bet: break the asset into slices anyone can afford.
My responsibilities
Design lead, end to end
As design lead for the entire product, I owned the process end to end, crafting one seamless experience across every platform.
Design process
A double-diamond, run properly
A systematic, iterative approach to an intuitive and visually appealing experience.
What is?
Initial insight, problem & statement of work.
What if?
Plan around a sharp point of view.
What wows?
Explore, prototype, iterate.
What works?
Ship, then learn from it.
Discover, research
What was broken elsewhere
We started by examining direct competitors and their products. Using them myself surfaced a stack of very fixable problems:
📞 Spamming, excessive sales calls from the company.
🔒 Lack of trust, is my investment even secure?
🏦 No loan options inside the products.
🗂️ Disorganised info, poor hierarchy on the homepage.
🔕 No property updates after investing.
📱 Barely any mobile apps, only one competitor had one.
Competitor analysis
Where we could win
Mapping SliceVista against Strata Prop, Property Share and PropReturns showed clear gaps to own, starting from a ₹10,000 entry point, a real mobile app, and in-product loans.
Real-estate investment from as low as ₹10,000
Mobile app availability
Loan offered on the product itself
Holiday homes + free vacation days
Rental yields & fractional investment on all properties
Direct co-ownership, zero compliance, assigned manager

Always hunting for higher-return investments, but has no time to study the stock market or track ROI. Interested in real estate, just doesn't want to sink everything into one asset class.
- Not enough capital to buy real estate
- Buying/selling is an overwhelming hassle
- Stocks feel risky, wants safer bets
- Start investing in real estate
- High returns on long-term investment
- Low-risk, guaranteed returns
- Build passive income
Empathy map
Inside his head
"What if I could invest in real estate in smaller amounts? The entry barrier is just too high."
"Real estate is one of the most appreciating assets. I want risk-free investments, passive income and high ROI."
Motivated to invest, helpless he can't, curious about new opportunities, frustrated nothing fits.
Watches for affordable properties, saves to invest, parks money in low-risk funds, researches new ways to invest.

Mapping the journey
I mapped the path to a first investment, sign up → KYC → view property → connect with the asset manager → paperwork → done, then structured the whole platform around it.
UI design, moodboard
Clean, minimal, trustworthy
My primary inspiration came from modern architecture, fitting for the category. I aimed for a design that exudes cleanliness and minimalism, instilling confidence and trust in a brand new to the market.
UI design, key screens
The product, screen by screen
Value before sign-up
We wanted to give value before asking for KYC. The new-user home leads with featured, currently-open properties and gently nudges toward sign-up, motivating people to browse first.
Trust from day one
Once logged in (KYC pending), we always show the assigned asset manager, a real person behind the account to build trust while buying real estate, and nudge the user to complete KYC.
A portfolio at a glance
For existing investors: a clear picture of the portfolio and ROI. Investment KPIs up top, a notice board for updates (rent received, investment status, holiday bookings), and a direct line to the asset manager.
The property detail page
Where the decision happens. I followed a Z-pattern toward the CTA, kept the Invest button green (reserved only for investing) with dark-blue secondaries, added sticky tabs for the many property parameters, and surfaced our loan USP and the builder's profile.
Invest is sticky on scroll, the decision is always one tap away.
Investing, transparently
When a user shows interest we call and walk them through it, then the manager continues offline. We ask their preferred time slot (so we don't over-call) and show a live status tracker, interest shown, loan applied, token received, loan approved, so the whole process stays transparent.
My properties
Where users track investments: stats and ROI of each property, rental income up front, and, because these are real assets, the ability to book a holiday home and stay at their own property.

Mobile app
Same system, in your pocket
For seamless experiences across devices, I translated the web UI into mobile-friendly counterparts, the same component logic, re-thought for one thumb and a small screen.
Product realisation
What testing taught us
We demoed the prototype with a handful of interested clients. The sharpest feedback from the first iteration came back as two open questions:
How do we educate users about fractional investment?
How do we earn trust as a new player in the market?
Future scope
Where it's headed
A marketplace for users to resell their property slices.
Let rental income roll straight into other properties.
Take fractional ownership beyond India.
